Palaces, art galleries, museums, street markets, parks, national monuments... London has it all!

London is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and for a good reason. There is a huge amount to see and experience. Here are just a few of the highlights we think you should try to squeeze into a trip to London:

    Buckingham Palace

A working palace that is home to the British Royal Family. The Family move to Scotland during summer and the most of the Palace is open to the public including the impressive State Rooms. Buy tickets in advance online. Watch the changing of the Guards outside the Palace everyday at 11:30am.

Houses of Parliament (Big Ben), Downing Street, Westminster Abbey

Iconic buildings in Whitehall include the Palace of Westminster / Big Ben (Houses of Parliament), Westminster Abbey, HM Treasury, The Prime Minister Office at 10 Dowing Street, Horse Guards and many other state buildings. All located just a short walk from Trafalgar Square. Best photos are taken from Westminster Bridge.

    London Eye

This 135-meter-tall observation wheel offers stunning 'birds eye' views of London. A fabulous 40-minute experience.

    The Shard

Want to go even higher? Europe's tallest building, The Shard, has two viewing platforms on floors 69 and 69 offering spectacular 360 degree views of the city. Advance ticket purchase essential during high season.

    Sky Garden

The Sky Garden is just across the River Thames from The Shard, at the top of a skyscraper known locally as the "Walkie Talkie" (due to its distinctive shape). Free entrance, but book online before visiting.
