Spades 4our

Clean. Great facilities--love how the jacuzzi, pool and steamroom are on the same floor and there are a lot of fun areas too (like the outdoor deck). and clean! What was surprising was the quality of YOUNG men. Realizing that this is a college town, I'm glad I went.

Nice sauna. Clean, modern. Friendly staff, friendly visitors. Will come back.

I visited Spades in Ghent on a Tuesday night earlier this month. On Tuesday, the sauna has discounts from those under 35 (15 Euro) and those under 25 (10 Euro). I didn't know if it would be lively because January is apparently exam season at the university. I arrived at about 1800 and there was a decent amount of guys across all ages. It got a little more busy as the night went on (mostly with more younger guys arriving) and I left around 2130. Because of the size and layout of the building, it never seemed super crowded, but it was still very lively and far from empty. The sauna is large and spread over three floors and it can be a little confusing to navigate. The steam room and sauna are little on the small side, but everything was very clean. The other customers were friendly and nice. The staff were also nice, helpful, and provided excellent service at the front desk and bar. Overall, Spades is one of the better saunas I have visited and is good for any traveler looking for a friendly and clean sauna that has a good mix of guys.
