A/V Take C

This bar is very stylish and attractive inside. I was there two nights and found all the bar staff to be friendly and helpful. The crowd was all Korean (apart from me!) but the staff were friendly to all. It also has a giant open-window that gives you an amazing look at the streets below. Most customers were there in groups so I wasn't able to chat with anyone. But still, A/V is a great place to start your night on the Jongno Gay scene.

I have frequented A/V a few times. The bar does actually attract mostly a Korean crowd, but also has a bit of a cult following with visiting Japanese. I am myself a Westerner, and have always been made to feel very welcome by the owners and other patrons. The staff is fluent in Korean and there are also warm levels of English and Japanese ability among the bar staff. The bar menu is full of classic cocktails - as well as some unique ones created in-house! Be sure to work your way through the "Sawa" menu! They also have amazing soju cocktails and also serve champagne. There are also an ever rotating series of small bar snacks. It is my favorite gay cocktail bar in Seoul!

It's very close to subway station!! Easy to find this bar!! I went this place last Saturday there are two gorgeous barmans !! I had a few cocktails and the taste was so great. He made how I like to drink. They kept coming to check how im doing and i got free snack the whole time. I would definitely come again.

I really liked this bar the first two times I went, but the third time the barman responded so rudely to my request for a printed guide to bar locations in the area that I felt very humiliated and very unwelcome. As a foreigner who doesn't just live in a foreign bubble, but does his best to enjoy Seoul for all it has to offer, I was dismayed by the ugliness I was served at AV Bar. I certainly won't take any more friends there to be insulted. I just won't be back. Stay away if you want to avoid the famed unfriendliness of the area.
