We really like the Tokyu Stay Nishi-Shinjuku. Although not the closest budget hotel to the main gay scene, it is not very far.
Each modern room features a washer & dryer, microwave, small fridge, free WiFi, flat screen satellite TV and safe. A Western-style breakfast buffet is served every morning. The hotel has a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage.
Location-wise, Tokyu Stay is right near Shinjuku Central Park and a short walk from Shinjuku JR Station where you can easily connect to other part of Tokyo. English and Japanese spoken.
