Brighton Pride 2027: Jennifer Lopez Rumoured to Headline

Jennifer Lopez is "in talks", as the expression goes, to headline Brighton Pride in 2027. If confirmed, she will follow past headliners Raye and Diana Ross in 2026, and her arch-nemesis, Mariah "I don't know her" Carey, in 2025.

Brighton Pride has been a very popular gay Pride event in the UK since 1991. It's become the UK's biggest Pride event and the biggest annual event in Brighton, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the UK and beyond.

When is Brighton Pride 2027?

Brighton Pride 2027 is set to take place from 31 July to 1 August, although the exact date has not been confirmed. The main event to attend will be Fabuloso in Preston Park on Saturday. The Sunday Fabuloso in Preston Park will also be huge, although less busy than the Saturday as a lot of out-of-towners will have headed home.

Who will be headlining Brighton Pride 2027?

What time is the Pride Parade in Brighton?

The parade usually begins around 11am and sets off from Hove Lawns. It goes on for a few hours so you don't need to stay for the whole thing. It's worth heading into town relatively early to get a good pitch - it will be crazy busy. The population of Brighton roughly doubles during pride as so many people visit.

How dicey is the train situation?

An extended train service usually takes place during Pride weekend. There will be security at the train station and you'll probably have to make your way through barriers upon arrival: it's so busy you'll have to follow a one-way system. The only snag is getting home on Saturday. The walk to the station from Preston Park is further than you think, especially when thousands of drunk gays wander the streets looking for afterparties. If you miss the last train, you may have to sleep on the beach (for one year, the Brighton Centre was opened to accommodate thousands of people who'd missed the train).

Do you need a ticket for Brighton Pride?

Brighton and Hove Pride has established itself as one of the world's biggest and best gay Pride events. Tickets do sell out so best to book early. The event was free back in the day but now you will need tickets to attend Fabuloso and the street parties. The parade is free to attend.

Brighton Pride Village Party

The Brighton Pride Village Party takes place on Madeira Drive on the seafront, bringing together local venues, DJs, drag performers and live entertainment throughout Pride weekend.

During the Pride Village Party, local businesses such as pubs, bars and restaurants come together to celebrate Pride, and raise extra funds for the Brighton Rainbow Fund and Pride Social Impact Fund. You can expect live entertainment including DJs, drag artists, singers, and more. Pride Village Party is ticketed but you can party elsewhere in the city without a ticket.
